Excuses?

It is the end of the school year, your kids are probably very busy with all of their activities (which means that you're busy with them too), the pollen is crazy right now, so you're house is dirty and needs dusted, the laundry is never ending (seriously, how can there be that much laundry?) and the list goes on and on...the point is, there is ALWAYS going to be something that can prevent you from achieving your goals (no matter what they might be), if you let it.  We're all busy, so you have to make your goal and the steps it's going to take to achieve it a priority...schedule it and make it non-negotiable...otherwise, you'll make the excuse and you'll never achieve your goals.
Make it important and don't make an excuse!

This is a topic that is near and dear to my heart because with 3 very active daughter, a full time time, a busy husband, and all of the other things we wish we had more time for... it's easy at times to make an excuse:  I'm too tired, I need to put the laundry away, I really need to clean my house, I'm NEVER home!!!  Make sure that you take the time to work on your own personal growth/development weather it's with achieving a life long goal, getting healthier, running that 5K, eating better, getting into that two-piece or that dress you love that's been in the back of your closet.

For the most part, I'm pretty good about this, however, there are those days where I make an excuse and give in...then I'm kicking myself because I feel like I let myself down.  We're human, so this will happen, but just know, the more excuses you allow yourself to make, the longer it will take you to achieve your goals...  this is also one of the reasons that I find Challenge groups to be SO HELPFUL!

Early Morning Workout

This morning was a first in a long time for me...yes, that clock reads 5:07 AM and I'm already dressed and ready to push "play". If you know me, I am NOT a morning person and I NEED my sleep or I don't function. Well, I've been running out of hours in the day to get everything in with everyone's practices and my workouts have been taking the back burner...well I decided that this would change this morning (#NOEXCUSES). I got by butt out of bed, pushed play and got my workout in all before I would've normally gotten out of bed and I I'm so glad I did!!
Then...driving to work, while enjoying the healthiest meal of the day, was awesome.  What a great feeling to know that I already got my workout in, my shake was almost gone and knowing that I wouldn't have to try and carve out time tonight for me to get my workout in.  I'm not sure why I don't do this more often :)  Hopefully tomorrow will go the same and my husband won't need dynamite to get me out of bed like he thinks he will!!

What time of day do you prefer to work out??

Never Miss A Monday

Today I decided to do the Total Body Cardio Fix...however, it was 9:30 PM when I started it!  Not really what I would like to have been doing at 9:30 on a Monday night, but I needed to get it in!  For whatever reason, I've not been following my meal plans (way too many handfuls of m&m's) and I was making excuses that the softball practice I did with my daughter should count as my workout.

Well tonight, that came to a stop- I wanted to start the week off right.  Even though it wasn't what I would have preferred to have been doing at that time, I was glad that I pushed play and got it in!  If I don't make changes, I won't see the changes that I'm after!

I don't think that I've ever met anyone who was mad that pushed play.  When you start the week off right, you're less apt to allow yourself to make excuses for skipping workouts later in the week.

Hold yourself accountable (if you can't get a coach- I know a great one ;)), make no excuses and NEVER EVER MISS A MONDAY!

If you need someone to keep you accountable and provide support to you.  Consider joining my next challenge group.  For more information, please complete the form below.
