Tasty Tuesday Tip

There is no recipe for this ‪#‎tastytuesday‬, rather a tip...if you haven't been to Sam's Club lately, they are now carrying a much larger selection of delicious fresh produce, a large tub of a spinach and kale medley super cheap (you get more and pay less than at any local grocery store), almond milk, organic agave nectar, coconut oil, raw almonds, quiona, a ton of healthy snack options and much more! I was totally amazed and excited at the amount of organic and healthier options they have started carrying.

With being a family of 5, and of 5 big healthy eaters, it's important to me to make sure that I'm providing my family plenty of healthier meals and snacks- especially without breaking the bank doing it!!  I find myself now only running to the grocery store for quick trips to grab bananas (the only thing that Sam's club still hasn't perfected- they're always green) and waffles for the girls.
 Has anyone else noticed the changes that Sam's club has made?

Never Miss A Monday

Today I decided to do the Total Body Cardio Fix...however, it was 9:30 PM when I started it!  Not really what I would like to have been doing at 9:30 on a Monday night, but I needed to get it in!  For whatever reason, I've not been following my meal plans (way too many handfuls of m&m's) and I was making excuses that the softball practice I did with my daughter should count as my workout.

Well tonight, that came to a stop- I wanted to start the week off right.  Even though it wasn't what I would have preferred to have been doing at that time, I was glad that I pushed play and got it in!  If I don't make changes, I won't see the changes that I'm after! 

I don't think that I've ever met anyone who was mad that pushed play.  When you start the week off right, you're less apt to allow yourself to make excuses for skipping workouts later in the week.

Hold yourself accountable (if you can't get a coach- I know a great one ;)), make no excuses and NEVER EVER MISS A MONDAY!

Does this ever happen to you?


So I totally blew my diet this weekend!  Yesterday, I ate pizza and a coke when I had healthier options already prepared.  Today, I had garlic and cheese flavor hard pretzles...totally delicious, but then all I could taste later was the garlic.  I love garlic, but not enough to taste it all day.  So, what did I do?  I spent the next several hours eating everything that I could to get that taste out of my mouth.  Unfortunately, nothing worked, I still tasted it and I turned my diet upside down!  Does this ever happen to anyone else??  If so, please help me!  What works for you to get strong flavored tastes out of your mouth without turning your diet upside down??

Do you have what it takes to be a Beach Body Coach?

A few months ago, I signed up to be a discount coach...this is a coach who doesn't try to grow their business, rather receive (what I consider) to be the best home workout programs and super food protein shakes (Shakeology) in the world at a discounted cost (25% of a discount)!  After getting a sneak peak into what it would be like to be a working coach (one that earns 25% commission off of sales from my TeamBeachBody site), I decided to work my Beach Body business to just cover the monthly cost of Shakeology (which I did- so it's like I'm getting it for FREE).  

 

Because I LOVE ALL Beach Body products sooo much, it only made sense for me to get them as cheap as I could...  Little did I know that I would have so much fun learning from some of the most fantastic women I've ever met and LOVE helping people become healthier while running my own challenge groups and having the daily interactions with them.  

 

I have never been so excited about doing something...which is both exciting and scary.   I'm still getting the feel for the "business" aspect of it, but I can't stop wanting to connect with people who want to start making a healthier lifestyle change.  Since this is new for me, I'm still learning, but I'm also finding myself constantly thinking about things I could do to help others, work the business and how I could make personal improvements for myself.

Beach Bound Body


Spring is finally here, which means summer and bathing suit season is right around the corner.  This is something that I am NEVER excited about...I'm sure I'm not alone in this.  Well, this year, I've decided that I'm going to be ready for it and I'm not going to be embarrassed to put on my swimsuit (while being around other people than my family).  This year, I'm going to be ready to step out in my swim suit with a smile on my face instead of a frown.  I would love to work with people who are ready to make their Beach Bound Body transformation happen!

To be in the group it will require you to commit to 30 days of Shakeology and clean eating and 30 days of GOING ALL in. No slacking and no excuses! We will really focus in on your nutrition and what you are fueling your body with because you can work out as much as you want but if we don't have your nutrition spot on - you won't get as fit looking as you want to be.

I am going to keep this group small and exclusive and I will only be taking 8 women so that we can all really connect and bond in the group. The group will provide you with daily support, accountability and motivation. There are strength in numbers and the friendship you will build is pretty fantastic too!  

I'm in this with you too...I need the support and the accountability just like anyone else :)  I'm ready to finally be excited to put on a bathing suit this summer.  I hope you're just as excited as I am!

Family Time in the Gym


Today I got to work out with Addy...she totally kicked my butt on the box jumps and split squats, but I got her on the rest :) So much fun ♡

Working out together can be a great way to spend quality time together, it doesn't have to be done in solitary.  Addy and I had a lot of fun being healthy and getting stronger. 

We cranked up the music, danced and sang a little in between our sets and challenged one another to push ourselves.  Addy doesn't like to work out with me in the house (my comfort zone), but she gets super excited to get me out in the gym (which is a little out of
my comfort zone) where it's a little more unconventional :)

Loved the time that we got to spend together getting stronger!  It's motivation for me to stick with my daily workouts - she might be younger, almost as tall as I am, but I'm not ready for her to be stronger!!

21 Day Fix Calendar

I don't know about you, but I want to be able to cross my workout off after I've completed them.  

I'm visual like that :)



You get a lot with the 21 Day Fix program, but the one thing you don't get is a nice calendar that lays it out for you that allows you to cross off your workout for the  day...so, here you go!  Print this off and hang it where you will see it regularly to remind you to get your workout in!  Some people keep them on their refrigerators, next to their bathroom mirror, I personally keep mine in my closet where I get dressed every day.

Thin Mint Shakeology

 After a great workout today, I treated myself to a Thin Mint Shake!  

It was delicious and far more filling and healthier than eating the cookies.

Try it for yourself!

Thin Mint Shakeology

1 Scoop of Chocolate Shakeology

1.5 Cups of Water

1/2 Frozen Banana

1/4 tsp Peppermint Extract

1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

A Handful of Greens

Ice

Mix in Blender and Enjoy!
